A large number of delegates have been in attendance at the IRE UK Conference 2025 edition in Sheffield today. A fantastic turnout bringing together specialists from across the refractory and steel industries. The programme featured presentations on energy efficiency, green steel transition, hydrogen fuel research and advanced refractory design with a high calibre presenters listing and agenda. The 2025 conference is taking place on Wednesday 19 November, bringing together specialists from across the refractory and steel industries. Confirmed speakers include Devdutt Shukla, Richie Hart, David Bell, David Hollott and contributors from the AMRC and additional speakers. The Institute of Refractories Engineers is a not-for-profit trade association that helps our members to access the science, technology and skills they need to excel in the refractory industry.
