The Institute of Refractories Engineers (IRE) has opened bookings for its 2026 Evening Annual Dinner, inviting members and industry professionals to come together for one of the organisation’s flagship networking events. The annual dinner will be held alongside the IRE’s 2026 UK Conference programme, providing delegates with an opportunity to continue discussions from the day’s technical sessions in a more relaxed setting while celebrating the achievements of the refractory industry.
The event is expected to attract engineers, manufacturers, suppliers, researchers and industry leaders from across the refractories sector, offering valuable opportunities to strengthen professional relationships and share knowledge with colleagues throughout the supply chain.
In recent years, the IRE has expanded its programme of technical training, conferences and networking events as part of its strategy to grow membership and encourage greater collaboration across the industry. The Institute says these events continue to play an important role in supporting professional development while bringing together the global refractory community.
The 2026 conference and evening events follow a busy year for the Institute, which has introduced new initiatives including a Best Paper competition for young refractory professionals and strengthened partnerships with organisations across the ceramics and materials sectors.
